Let your full-body intelligence enhance all your relationships
Personal Mixed Martial arts is used to train and improve individual ability in all ranges of combat. It uses effective delivery systems in stand-up, clinch and ground, together with the aliveness principles of energy, motion and timing.
It offers a personal development opportunity for those serious about focussing their energy: who want to shift blockages rather than be limited by them.
What to expect
Although sessions take account of personal abilities, they are designed to push beyond limitations imposed by old patterns. PMMA training is down-to-earth and in-your-face – do it if you fully intend to take your personal process in hand.
Deep engagement (whether in combat, parenting or intimacy) requires us to know our boundaries and be able to track, focus and direct energy at precisely the right time. PMMA can help us cut through our fantasies in this arena.
Sessions seek to instil an uncommon level of pitching up, including punctuality, engagement and resilience. The effects of committed training are experienced in every facet of life.
Training syllabus
Power Chi Kung: The art of becoming aware of, moving and gathering energy. This method of exercise replenishes the body, refreshes the mind, improves health and brings joy.
Fusion kickboxing: Drawn mainly from western boxing, Muay Thai and other functional systems tailored to individual attributes and abilities. Stand-up is the first range of combat.
Clinch & take-downs: This is the second range of combat, taken mainly from Greco Roman wrestling; using positioning and leverage to defend from and set up take-downs.
Grappling: Your third range of combat, taken mainly from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Most fights end up on the ground. This is where the smaller or weaker person can win. The art of Jiu Jitsu is extremely functional and infinitely rewarding, a game of chess played at the highest level of subtlety.
